Marking the Surround: Alternate Spaces Appearing in Part  House for an Art Lover

Marking the Surround: Alternate Spaces Appearing in Part was a site specific installation work exhibited at House for An Art Lover, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow. The work sat as part of a larger group exhibition by Glasgow School of Art Year Three Sculpture and Environmental Art cohort, entitled Shedded Wheat. The show ran from the 25th Feb- 2nd March 2022.

Exhibiting artwork for the first time in three years after a prolonged period of indoor living, April extends her grasp of composition and colour into the surrounding shed space by adopting a hybrid mode of display. The work raises queries as to its own formality, encompassing three highly resolved, framed Screen Prints and a painted red wall alongside found rusting metal objects.
