Living, breathing, vibrant canvases, each a visceral journey through the transient rhythms of the built environment, from the intimate microcosm to the sweeping monumental. My practice pushes the materiality of paint to its fullest expression, where oil becomes substance that leaps, folds, and glows with a golden luminescence: light and colour weaving across the surface like a living pulse. Each painting holds within it the dynamic tension of collapse, renewal, and rebuild, a suspended moment caught between decay and regeneration.

At its core, my work seeks to capture the essence of the post-industrial landscape, a terrain shaped by the layered histories of human and non-human forces. Through acts of mapping, collapse, and transition, I engage with scale and texture in a constant negotiation, a dance between chaos and order. This process transcends mere depiction; it is an elemental engagement, where the physical touch of paint and the visual language of surface merge to evoke the deeper, often unseen rhythms of environment and memory.

In these canvases, materiality is alive, thickened, luminous, and restless, a living archive of place and time, echoing the geological as much as the human.
